The average cost for a tiny kitten to adoption is $496. This includes food, litter, microchip, vaccines, and spay/neuter. Some of our older cats require additional care, which can range from $250 for a dental cleaning to $785 for bloodwork, ultrasound and medications.
One of our 7-year-old cats, Blaze, recently required a vet visit for a dental cleaning that ended up requiring numerous extractions. Her vet bill and medications were over $655.
We also promote and assist with TNR – trap, neuter, release. While we are able to access free neuter/spay services for these temporary crew members, we do incur costs for transportation and their aftercare.

GIFT BASKETS
We need items to fill our gift baskets. Here are some ideas. Please note that we need your items by Thursday, September 15, 2022 so we can build the baskets. Email [email protected] to arrange pickup/delivery of your basket items.
Arts & Crafts – NEED: Colored pencils, nice paper, premade craft bags/boxes from Hobby Lobby/Michaels, etc. HAVE: Craft items.
Babies – NEED: Wipes, toys, teething toys, books. HAVE: Adorable blankets.
Beards are Best – NEED: Man beard mousse, shave gel, scissors, combs, grooming tools, fun man accessories.
Big Catch – NEED: Gift card to Bass Pro shop, anything fishing related. HAVE: Fabric tackle box and some lures.
Bird Watching – NEED: Texas bird book, bird feeder, shepherd hooks, bag of seeds, humming bird feeder, bag of sugar. HAVE: Several cute bird houses, squirrel feeder and a gourd bird house.
Bluebonnet-inspired Picnic – NEED: Picnic foods. HAVE: Basket, plates, plasticware
Christmas Lights Tour – NEED: Cocoa, marshmallows, peppermints, caramels, Christmas mugs with lids, snacks.
Crab Boil – NEED: Crab boil pot, crab/shrimp boil mix, fish fry, spices, sauces, ladle, cute napkins, anything else fun! HAVE: Super cute clear glass Fish shaped plates with sauce holder.
For the Love of Pasta – NEED: Fun pasta – check out PastaAmore.com, sauces, gift card to Italian restaurants. Items for a tasty Italian dinner. HAVE: An iron plate rack and some accessories.
Forever a Kid – NEED: Kites, rockets, family crafts, stepping stone kit, mystery puzzles by John Lutz
Game/Movie Night – NEED: Any fun kids games (Clue is popular), cards, Uno, Apples to Apples, snacks. HAVE: A few fun kid games – metal puzzle teasers, stuffed toys, popcorn.
Garden like a Pro – NEED: All things, anything to create a lovely garden!
Golf Pro – NEED: Fun golf stuff.
Grillin’ – NEED: Veggie grill baskets, copper grilling sheets, tools. DONE!
Help in the Kitchen – NEED: Fun kitchen gadgets, helpers, peelers, anything to make fun & fast healthy meals, sauces.
Pup and Me Picnic – NEED: Dog items, bones, snacks, frisbee, toys. HAVE: Pup cooler and blanket.
Texas State of Mine – NEED: Texas-made foods (see HEB for a great variety). HAVE: An awesome set of Texas Flag dishes.
Thanks to Our Veterans – NEED: Veteran-owned business items like black rifle coffee. HAVE: An amazing hand created wooded flag by Bryan Kihlken.

We have several opportunities for volunteers to help Lucky Kitty Crew pull together everything for our 2022 Annual Fall Fun-raiser — Black, White & Calico. Here are some of them:
PRE-EVENT OPPORTUNITIES
- Create Table Décor! Paint pine cones, assemble pc flowers, arrange in containers
- Package Wine Pull game bottles – price wines, make tags and attach, bag/tissue/bow
- Pack up everything for the event on Oct 15 (Magnolia)
- Set up the baskets, table decorations, etc for the event on Oct 15 (at The Burger Ranch, Cypress)
